Don’t wait until move-in day to order more substantial items if something is missing; you may not be able to get them on time.

Pets and Plants 

You’ll want to get your pets and plants into their new homes as soon as possible. You’ll need to make sure your dogs have somewhere secure to stay while you’re transporting and that your plants are looked after by a friend or family member.

Notify Utilities

Finally, notify your power providers about the change. This includes your cable and internet service providers and your phone provider. Notifying them ahead of time might assist in preventing service outages.
