GENERAL FAQ PAGE
How much does it cost to rent a container from UNITS® of Fort Lauderdale?
Pricing depends on the container size, how long you need it, and delivery distance. Contact UNITS® of Fort Lauderdale for a free, no-obligation quote.
What’s the minimum rental period?
Whether you need storage for a month or a year, we have you covered. The minimum rental is one month, and there’s no maximum, so you can keep your container as long as your project requires.
What items can’t be stored in a UNITS® container?
Hazardous materials such as gas, propane, paint, and certain chemicals aren’t permitted, along with food, plants, and other perishable items.
Can UNITS® customers use their own homeowners or renters insurance instead of the insurance plan UNITS® offers?
Yes. While UNITS® Moving and Portable Storage offers a convenient insurance option for your stored belongings, you’re not required to use it. Some homeowners and renters insurance policies provide coverage for personal property kept in storage. Please check with your insurance company to see what options they offer and whether your existing policy extends to items in a UNITS® container, so you can choose the coverage that works best for you.
How much weight can a container hold?
Both the 12 foot and 16 foot UNITS® containers can hold up to 8,000 pounds, giving you flexibility for heavier furniture, equipment, or supplies.
