Use the label “fragile” on anything that might be easily broken or damaged to make your move simpler and prevent breakage. The large block lettering on the front of your box makes it more apparent. You can write “delicate” on the box if you’re packing fragile ceramics or glass objects.
As you pack, mentally estimate how much stuff you think you’ll need. It’s better to bring less and have more space than trying to shove everything into one box when traveling. When you arrive at your destination, take your time unpacking so that you don’t feel overwhelmed.
Place the box in its proper position when identifying it. If you’re packing a box of children’s books to give to the playroom, write it on the box.
Labeling your boxes will make unpacking and moving in easier. If they’re already marked, you won’t have to spend time looking for specifically labeled boxes or repackaging them. So take a few minutes to label each box. It’ll save you hours over the long run!
