When it comes to choosing the right container or box for your winter clothing, you’ll want one that has a strong seal. Plastic containers with tightly sealed tops are the greatest choice because they will keep water and other dampness out while your clothes are away in storage, preventing mold and damage.
If you want to save space in your wardrobe, consider compressing your winter clothing. Vacuum bags are ideal for this. To keep the items as flat as possible, use separate bags for each piece of outdoor winter clothing. Place them in a waterproof container once they’ve been sealed.
At the end of the winter, don’t make a mess of it by trying to store your winter apparel together. Having separate containers for both indoor and outdoor winter wear is a good idea. You’ll also want to label the boxes so you know what’s inside them. If you buy individual boxes for each member of your family, keep in mind that they will take up more room in your storage container.
