Carefree is a town in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the population of the town is 3,363.Characterized as an upscale residential area, Carefree was conceived in the mid-1950s by business partners K.T. An amazing oasis in the desert, the Carefree Desert Gardens is one of the only 2 public botanical gardens in the area. It is located in downtown Carefree and it includes a wide variety of native plants, sculptures and fountains. It is a really beautiful place to admire and take photos. Even though it’s small, it still has a lot of interesting plants and many unique cactuses. All plants are labeled, so you know exactly what you are looking at. And besides this, there are many bars, restaurants and shops nearby, so you can stop for refreshment when you are finished admiring the gardens.
