At UNITS® Moving and Portable Storage of Houston, the community is at the heart of everything we do. This year, we’ve been honored to partner with incredible organizations to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those in need. By donating our portable storage containers, we’ve supported several vital charities, providing them with the space they need to organize, store, and distribute essential items. We’d like to take a moment to reflect on and celebrate the difference we’ve made together, thanks to your unwavering support and participation.
One of the largest and most impactful efforts we’ve supported this year is Operation Stocking Stuffer. This massive annual event, dedicated to bringing holiday joy to less fortunate children in our community, is a monumental undertaking.
To assist in this endeavor, we provided four storage containers to serve as hubs for toy storage and distribution. These containers helped organizers collect and sort thousands of donated toys, ensuring every child on the list received a special gift. This partnership has been a highlight of our year, as the event generated excitement and press across Houston, showcasing the power of giving back.
Another incredible organization we’re proud to support is JJO Charities, a group dedicated to making a difference year-round. Throughout the year, we’ve provided two containers on multiple occasions to help JJO Charities carry out their mission. This time, we donated containers to JJO for their annual holiday food and toy drive. We were so excited to have local celebrity Trae tha Truth participate in the drive alongside us.
Whether it’s storing supplies or managing donations, these containers have played a key role in their operations. It’s been a privilege to partner with a team that tirelessly works to uplift our community, and we look forward to continuing this collaboration.
Although Wharton County lies just outside our primary service area, we recognized the critical need for support there. Many local organizations depend on Toys for Tots, but they lack access to essential storage solutions. That’s where we stepped in. This year, we provided a container to help ensure the success of the program, allowing the Toys for Tots team to collect and distribute toys for children in need. It’s a small but meaningful way we’ve been able to extend our reach and make a difference in nearby communities.
