Door-to-door mobile storage has arrived in San Antonio. UNITS Portable Storage, a technologically advanced, affordable and convenient mobile storage company has opened its first San Antonio location at 8919 Aero Lane.

UNITS stands for Unique, No Hassle, Individual, Transportable Storage. Providing its customers with an uncomplicated, economical storage solution, UNITS will service San Antonio and surrounding communities.

The 13,000-square-foot warehouse, situated on a 1.5-acre lot near the San Antonio International Airport, is the first local UNITS franchise.

According to David Williams, owner of the new UNITS location, the mobile storage option will make available to residential and business owners alike “affordable, convenient mobile storage options to help with the hassle of moving or onsite storage.”

“The process is simple,” said Williams. “We deliver the container. You pack it at your leisure and we pick it up at your convenience – when you're ready for it to be moved to your new location or to be stored in one of our climate-controlled warehouses. We're there to be the everyday mover for all folks, regardless of income.”

Specifically designed to be water, mold and UV-resistant, the 16-foot storage containers, the most popular sized UNIT, can accommodate items related to the average 1,500-square-foot house.

Considered by those in the mobile storage industry as a “revolutionary service,” UNITS Mobile Storage is set up to meet the storage needs of a variety of customers, including homeowners, business owners and contractors.

“Whether you are a homeowner who is moving or undergoing a house remodel, a small business owner in need of extra storage, a contractor looking for secure storage on a jobsite or a college student who wants a place to store items for the summer, UNITS provides an easy and economical solution,” said Williams. “We can deliver an 8-by-16-foot storage container right to your front door.”

According to Williams, once the individual packing or storage is completed, the UNITS container can be moved to a new location of choice, remain at its current location, or be stored at the secure, climate-controlled storage facility at 8919 Aero Lane.

“Construction clients can rent up to 15 containers, depending on the jobsite and residential customers typically rent just one or two containers – same with small businesses,” said Williams.

Along with fostering long-term relationships with industrial and residential customers, Williams looks forward to building the UNITS brand throughout the region.
